Welcome! We know that visiting a new church can be a little intimidating. After all, each local church community often has its own traditions, rhythms, and routines. Regardless of your background or faith journey, our goal is to make Alva a place that is comfortable and welcoming for individuals and families alike!
At the Alva Church Saturday service, you’ll be greeted by people who are genuinely excited to have you worship with us. Our goal is to create an environment where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged from the parking lot to the pew.
AT A SATURDAY SERVICE, YOU’LL FIND:
Our 10:00 AM worship service to last about an hour, with the 11:00 AM worship service running slightly longer.
Bible-based, expository preaching from one of our Church Elders, District Pastor or a highly-qualified guest speaker.
Our worship service features beautiful music from the piano, guitar, and the congregation.
Age-appropriate programs for your kids and youth during our 10:00 AM Sabbath School Bible study.
OKAY, BUT HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
Short answer: it doesn’t matter to us. When you look around our worship services, you’ll see a little bit of everything at Alva. A majority of men prefer to dress in business casual. Others will be wearing jeans and a polo shirt. You’ll see some women wearing dresses, while others may wear blouses with a skirt or slacks. Kids are often seen in shorts during the warmer months. Basically, we want you to be comfortable. Come as you are and let’s worship together.
